Another day, another dollar, another rambling...

Life has been going smoothly. opera_queen's older sister got a job near the City, and dropped off a HUMONGOUS box of clothing for Baby J. Yay for free stuff! *grins* I finally got my car back (after replacing a crank shaft sensor), and the price of gas is slowly starting to decline... or so I heard. *shrugs* My class is still swimming along, and no death threats as of late. *grins*

Actually, an old student is trying to get back into the program. Usually, my program is a "one shot deal", but there has been a few let in on special circumstances. This girl had picked on the boys, shoplifted and try to fight off the security guard, been suspected of being involved with an assault on another student, and generally being a nuisance. So, after a few tries, we kicked her out....

... and her old counselor phoned basically saying, "Well, because of you kicking her out, her mother beat her senseless. Just thought I would let you know."

Well, thanks alot, Lady. If people would tell me things oncwe in awhile, then maybe we can prevent some things. *rolls eyes* Don't get me wrong, we got along with her great as a person, she just wasn't ready for school.

I re-met with her a few days ago. My admin wants to give her another chance, and after meeting with her, I tend to agree. She has been in and out of emergency housing, and seems to have changed her priorities. She wants my program over the high school because she "feels safe".

And I don't blame her. She is "working things through" with her mother (returned to the home 4 days ago), and the mother is a friggin' psycho. Really, if you want your child to succeed in school, being rude to the teacher and striking fear in the child isn't the most recommended tactic...

... and, I found out from a social worker I worked with briefly last year (off the record, of course), that one of my current students is recruiting for the sexual exploitation of teenage girls ring we have going on in my little city. *sighs* I love my job, but it sure opens your eyes to what lurks in other's homes. So, I picked up Baby J early from daycare, bought some kid movies (since tomorrow is my first payday!!!), and spent a little time together.

I always knew you'd make a great mama-equivalent. You really end up with piles on your plate on a regular basis, eh?

Let's start a charity!!!
That's my plan! We'll start a charity called "hugs for thugs" . .yep. All the little gang wannabe's and fucked up kids and parents get a free hug! Kuz the first one's always free, after that it'll cost... But either way! Hugs will fix everything. The money we make off of our addictive hugs will go towards "fixing" the fucked up parents and counsiling the kids!
