Curse of the Car Continues...

If you have been checking faithfully and, out of nowhere, after a long “vacation”, entries appear: you are not going crazy. My internet is non-functional at the moment, and I don’t know when it will be back on line. So, with my trusty computer disk, I’m going to try to be motivated enough to do entries, and we’ll see how things turn out.

Earlier on this week, I drove my car into the city since my stepfather was supposed to be in town, and this was a good opportunity to visit with him and my sister. I went in, watched Booger shop, ate Chinese food, got rent money from my step-dad, and started back home. Now, I don’t know how gas prices are in everyone else’s worlds, but here, it is getting ridiculous. There is a little place just outside of city limits that is usually 3¢ cheaper. Unbeknownst to me at the time, all of these hick places close once the sun goes down. To make a boring story short, I ran out of gas 50 km from my home. I hoofed to a nearby motel/restaurant, which closes at midnight and doesn’t open again until 6 a.m. That’s right folks, it was after midnight.

So, I slept in my car. Still having the summer frame of mind, I was wearing a guy’s shirt and jean shorts. That night, it got cold. In my hometown up north, there were sightings of frost. Yep, I’m still chilled. I slept for 2 hours at a time. One dream sequence was like a bad teenage horror flick: a few others and myself awoke in this area, remembering nothing of the night before. We knew something dastardly happened, and that the authorities were after us. It was up to us to uncover what happened that night before we were “caught”.

Yep, not sleeping in my car anymore.

Next morning, I got some gas and tried to start my car. Key word: tried. So, after much whoop-lah in a little town, I was towed back home and my car, once again, is in the shop.

I would blow up my car and collect on the insurance money, but, knowing my luck, I would be caught and throw in jail. And my car would be fine.
