Slightly Fried Nipple

I am almost caught up with laundry from my trip. Unfortunately, I don’t have any dryer sheets, so my clothes are chalk-full of static. Long and short of it, while I was detaching a sock from a hoodie, a bolt of electricity shot out and nailed me right in the middle of my right nipple.

Wow. No pun intended (okay, maybe a little), but it was quite the electrifying experience.

Oh, and probably more importantly, D is doing great! The surgery went really well, and he can even sit now! He ate supper at the table, which he hasn’t been able to do in 4 months. And his back was not even sliced and diced. I don’t know what I was expecting….. okay, I did. Ever see the movie “The Animal” where a doctor “fixes” a person using animal parts, and suddenly he has mannerisms from all those animals? Well, in the movie, he doesn’t know yet that he has been operated on, and finds a small bruise on his rib. When he turns around, you see an autopsy-style X across his back.

D had an incision less than an inch. They put a tube through that, and operated through the tube.

Another good part of the trip was that I got to visit Bo Beri and opera_queen while I was in the City. Now, when I get together with OQ, theories fly. We continually debate, question, and hypothesize. She was talking about her dictatorship in the new Utopia she would create, and I would try to argue every point. Then, of course due to our profession, we talk about values and the education system.

“You know, you should write a book”. Which I replied, “I’m too lazy”. So, she is willing to be my editor. I don’t know how this is going to work, since I’m already Blenky’s half-assed agent (and she actually wrote a book and got published), but whatever. OQ told me that if I would return my Live Journal back to the days of philosophical musings, I could print that as my book. So, the question is….

Poll #1074868 Dreamfilled's Book of Rambles

If I published my LiveJournal (including all the juicy private entries), would you buy it?

Heck yes!
Heck no!
Depending on how much it sold for
I don't know... who are you again?

To hear that D's surgery went so well is fantastic! It's so nice to see that the both of you can now get your lives back on track, like before all the pain from the injury started. Patience is a virtue, along with caring and understanding. You are an amazing person, and I am proud to have you as my sister as as my friend.

ACK! I wasn't prepared for two touchy-feely posts. Especially after talking about frying my nipple. *grins and hugs*

Don't you dare use me as an excuse. Nanowrimo is coming and I'd much rather have a fellow author to bounce stuff off of than a half-assed agent. Now get typing!

Hmm, interesting things to ponder . . .
I'm totally bummed that I missed seeing you in the city. But, did you enjoy the message that I left at the hotel? It was quite long and I may have stuttered. I don't know if I should say "sorry" about the nipple or if "congratulations!!!" would be more fitting. Notice the # of exclaimation points? And I am glad to hear that the surgery was successful; there are probably a number of things that you have been appreciating since the surgery ;) Anyway, take care.

p.s. I would likely buy your hypothetical book for $10.99. But, I would probably encourage someone else (Bo Beri maybe) to buy it and then I would photocopy it. I WOULD DEFINETLY READ IT THOUGH !!! Just keeping it real!

Re: Hmm, interesting things to ponder . . .
*laughs* Well, thanks for contributing to the Pirating Nation... or, would it be Bo Beri contributing?
