One day down.... many weeks to go.

So far, so good! Today was my first day in this lovely school, and so far, no battle wounds. I met my new co-operating teacher for English and she's very nice. I will be starting Macbeth with the Senior 3's soon, and a poetry unit with the Senior 2's. I don't know if I want to try the unit that Pen Girl and I constructed before (where they write a zine of their own poetry, pointing out smilies and such), or get them to compile an anthology for their fave poems.... of course, pointing our the literary devices and such. So, the principal (who happened to be a Senior High English teacher) gave me 10 pounds of stuff to look at. As well, he gave me some Grade 7 and 8 Health/ELA stuff to look at, since I'm a course short of a full teaching load.

I start teaching polynomials on Wednesday... I guess I should start looking at the math books now.

Things here at Posh Spice's are going well. They painted the spare bedroom a lovely lime green for me. Still smells like paint in there.

They drove me to and from school today and are going to tomorrow to. Very nice of them.

My cooperating teacher talks more than Posh Spice and I combined. She has a nasty singing voice. BUT she loves her job and is very kind. She gave me a welcome card. SWEET!

Rock Star helped my brother and cousin load the truck. I was so happy to see him, I busted into tears as soon as he walked in. I love that guy.

Anyhoo, glad you had a good day. Here's hoping day two will be great too!

Yikes! Hange in there, JB!

Planning already? I thought the original idea wasn't to "seal the deal" until both of you are done school...
