Nothing but the shinanigans

Saturday came and went. The wedding was very nice, even with the minister trailing off into Hebrew lessons and the hidden interpretations of the two readings the bride and groom picked. *grins* The wedding was set in autumn colours, which I think looks terrific. But, I've never been known to be a "pastel" kind of gal....

The reception was great! It had an open bar, and considering that, I was very well behaved. *chuckles* I told Bo Beri that no shinanigans could occur until the bride and groom had their first dance. Then I felt old since I earnestly used "shinanigans" in a sentence. Then I was drunk. *laughs* The big surprise of the evening... not many people recognized me. I got a few cool-ish hellos, followed by "Omigawd! I'm sorry... I didn't recognize you when you waved" hours later. I really didn't think I changed THAT much. *frowns* Maybe because I got my hair done up and I didn't look like I rolled out of bed/car accident/you get the idea. *grins*

And the rant of the weekend: I keep forgetting that my little town here has stupid rules when it comes to shopping. My camera's battery went dead (one of those lithium dealies). I was excited about taking my camera since I found my picture markers, so I bought some black & white film and was ready to be all artsy-fartsy again. Yeah... forgot Radio Shack closes at 6 p.m. on Saturdays. And it's not even open on Sundays.

Boo-urns. That's all I have to say. Boo-urns.

Thanksgiving was good at my parents' place at the lake. Booger and her man was up. Gorged myself silly, as per usual. *grins and rubs tummy* There is a guy checking out my parents' place this afternoon. Sounds like he may be interested in purchasing. The notion of my parents actually moving away seems to be becoming more and more of a reality. *frowns* Damn.
