Anyway, I hate marking. Now, on to newer topics...
This week, my class has been partaking in Addiction Awareness Week. There is this gal that is doing a counselling practicum here (remember: the classroom is only one section of this program) and asked me a few weeks ago if she could take over my classroom for the afternoons during this week. She had plans for guest speakers and the such. Fine. Dandy. Great. *shrugs* Sure, why the heck not...
She is driving me nuts.
Oh no, not your everyday "when is this day going to end" type of nuts. The full-blown paranoid "Is that her footsteps I hear? Is she coming? I must hide! Or at least pretend to be reeeeeally busy and not make eye contact" type of nuts. I don't know what it is, but something is "not quite right" when it comes to her. For all I know, it could be just a personality conflict. But why do so may people feel the same way? *shakes head* Anyway, she is taping herself since it is her own presentation tomorrow. *sighs* My students are going to eat her alive.
As a side note, she was giving the video camera a test run and she taped me erasing the chalkboard. Yep, my arse has gotten larger since I moved back here. *sighs* Stupid peanut butter cups...
Besides that, I went to the annual Music Teachers Concert last night. It's a concert where people from the community play. Everyone from the voice and violin coaches to the IT person who happens to be amazing on guitar. *grins* It always amazes me what kind of talent some people here have. It also inspired me to either take up the piano or bari sax again. It's been a few years.... *grins sheepishly* Whether I get off me lazy arse or not, that has yet to be discovered....
